Ducklings Nursery is a privately owned company originally founded by Deborah Walters in 2016, providing high quality care and education to families in Manchester. Ducklings Nursery is part of the Ducklings Preschool group founded in 2001; since opening its doors Ducklings sites have achieved OUTSTANDING consecutively in 2012 and 2019 along with  GOOD ratings by Ofsted; sites have also been awarded the SMILE AWARD and GOLDEN GRIN AWARDS.

Ducklings has over the years gained an excellent reputation as a trusted provider, offering flexible services to match the individual needs of our families. 

Our staff are highly qualified and passionate; alongside their professional qualifications they hold within Early Years they continue to undertake additional courses such as Behaviour Management, SENCO, Safeguarding, Prevent, 1st Aid.  

Ducklings Mission Statement 'Laying Foundations to a Solid Education' is achieved by our enthusiastic team ensuring each child achieves their potential. Our settings combine learning experiences and structured play in a fun, safe and nurturing environment. Ducklings offers far more than just child care, we offer the first introduction to a lifetime of learning, a journey that builds a child's passion for learning. We provide children learning environments; promoting opportunities to discover, explore and grow to their fullest potential.

Our settings encourage a highly productive partnership between teachers and parents. As a partner, you’ll have numerous opportunities to communicate with us regarding your child’s progress; via our online learning application along with parent forum meetings.

Here at Ducklings we accept both government funded and private sessions.

The Time for Twos project provides funding for up to 15 hours of funded childcare education for eligible two year old's. 
All 3 to 4-year-old's in England can get 570 hours of free early education or childcare per year. This is usually taken as 15 hours each week for 38 weeks of the year.
Ducklings are also pleased to offer the 30 hour extended funding to eligible families, this can be split between two providers, please let us know if you wish to book a 30 hour space.
